a great name and design for our swim team. It will be
featured on our new team apparel. Submit your design
along with your name, and age group to any coach or Board
member by April 1st, 2010. All designs will be judged by
the coaches and the members of ACAC board. The winner will
be announced at our Spring Swim Banquet. There will be a

you can be! Good Luck…the time is running!
Team Records,
Sectional Qualifier and a High Point Winner
Several
ACAC swimmers (Camryn GreenLeaf, Laura Wakeley, Destin
Lasco, Peter Pham, Glenn Lasco, Justin Liu, Amber Glenn,
Charmaine Chew, Michael Courter, Eliana Yu, Isaiah Jackson,
Peter Wakeley, Jorge Azcona, and Hannah Wakeley) attended
the Middle Atlantic Elite Meet on January 22-24. There
were four team records at this meet:
Destin Lasco (8 & under 50 Back and 100 back),
Camryn Greenleaf (9-10 girls 100 Back) and Charmaine
Chew (11-12 girls 50 fly). Many swimmers had
best times and some qualified for A finals (top 8) and
B finals (placed 9th through 16th):
The
total of Camryn's points placed her 1st in her
age group and she received the 10 & under Girls
High Point award.
The
10 & under Boys (Destin Lasco, Peter Pham, Glenn
Lasco, Justin Liu) placed 2nd
in the 200 Medley Relay and 4th in the 200
Free Relay.
Hannah Wakeley's
200 Fly times in the finals was her first qualifying time
for the Eastern Zone South Region Sectional meet.
In
the overall team score ACAC was 9th (girls 13th,
boys 11th) which is an improvement on the 10th place finish
last year. Congratulations to these ACAC swimmers.
We look forward to these and others to be competing in
the Middle Atlantic Mini, Junior and Senior Championships
in March.
