Purpose: To provide funds to help ACAC maintain its strong swimming program and support USA Swimming.

 

Where: Atlantic City High School, 1400 Albany Ave., Atlantic City, NJ 08401

 

When: Saturday, June 16^th, 2007, from 7:00 AM-10:00 AM

 

Who is welcome: Everyone!!!! The Swim-A-Thon is open to all ACAC swimmers, their friends and family, and anyone else who would like to participate.

 

Awards: Participants will receive awards from USA Swimming!!

·        Certificate of participation: All Participants

·        Swim-A-Thon Pin: Swimmers completing 100 or 200 Lengths

·        USA Swimming T-Shirt: Swimmers collecting $500-749.99

·        USA Swimming Towel: Swimmers collecting $750-$999.99

·        USA Swimming Bag: Swimmers collecting over $1000

 

What Else: This is a family event. We invite parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and neighbors. In addition to the Swim-A-Thon, we will be holding a Free Pancake Buffet for all swimmers and raffle with chance of winning swim gears and items.

 

The Swim-A-Thon is a fundraiser in which participants earn money for their team by swimming lengths of the pool. Swimmers have a two-hour period to swim a maximum of 200 lengths (which ever come first). Participants get pledges from businesses, family, neighbors, etc. prior to swimming. Some choose to get pledges and money prior to swimming while others get pledges per length and collect the money following the Swim-A-Thon. All pledges should be collected, and returned to ACAC by Saturday, June 23^rd, 2007.

 

All participants will receive a packet including all that you need to get started: a pledge sheet, a pledge envelope, and receipts to give to your sponsors. Also included you will find information on ACAC’s website: http://www.acacswim.org
