2008 Summer Championships

Dear Swim Coach,

The Atlantic City Aquatic Club is proud to host the 2008 Summer League Championships. This year the meet will be in a 1 day, 2 session format, with all swimmers from all teams being allowed to compete. All teams have volunteer assignments. If you can not fulfill your assignments, it is your team’s responsibility to find another team who will help you out.

ACAC will be purchasing insurance coverage for the meet. All swimmers participating in the meet must sign a waiver form and pay a fee of $5.00. All teams are in charge of collecting the waiver forms, submitting one check payable to ACAC and submitting a roster of all swimmers in the meet. No swimmer will be allowed to participate without submitting a signed waiver form and paying the $5.00 fee. Please make sure all swimmers for your team are in compliance as ACAC does not want to disallow a swimmer from participating. All entries, checks, insurance waiver forms are due by July 23, 2008. Entries are to be received by e-mail. Checks and insurance forms are to be received by regular mail.

We are pleased to offer your team a great fundraising opportunity. Each team may sell ads that will appear in the Championships Program Book. For all ads your team sells, we will give you back 50% of your total sales! Details and an advertising form (which can be duplicated) are included in this meet announcement.

As always – it is most important that you remind your swimmers they must have shoes or sandals on their feet when they leave the pool deck to go out in the hallway. This will be strictly enforced by the door marshals. Doors to the pool will open 15 minutes prior to beginning of warm-ups. Please don’t have swimmers arrive any earlier. The meet will follow USA Swimming rules.

Facility: Atlantic City High School Sports Complex, 1400 N. Albany Ave.,

Atlantic City, NJ. Features 8 lane, 25 meter Paddock pool with

Colorado electronic timing system, 8 lane read out board, wide

deck areas, balcony seating for 350. Standard Paddock non-slip

starting platforms. All races will start at the deep end with starting

platforms.

Eligibility: All swimmers must have competed in at least two (2)

of their team’s dual league meets during the 2008 summer season. Each swimmer may swim a maximum of 3 individual events and 2 relays, one medley relay and one freestyle. Swimmers may enter with “NT”. Forms for discrepancies will be available and must be submitted by a coach.

Entries: Each team will be allowed (1) relay per event.

Deck entries will be accepted at 5.00 per event. The deck entry

desk will close 30 minutes before start of each session.

The Hytek entry file will be available to each team at www.acacswim.org

As agreed upon at the league meeting, there will be a $3.00

entry fee for each individual event. There is no fee for relays.

Check is payable to Atlantic City Aquatic Club. Please submit one

check for all of your entries.

Scoring: Individual Events: 1^st through 20^th

(24, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 11, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1)

Relays: 1^st through 10^th

(48, 42, 40, 38, 36, 34, 32, 30, 28, 26)

Teams are allowed to enter an unlimited number of eligible

swimmers in any event, however, only the top two finishers from

each team will score points.

Admission: $2.00 per session – children 5 and under are free

Programs: $5.00 – covers both sessions

Concession: Will be available

Champs T-Shirts: Will be available

Swim Vendor: Will be available

Awards: Individual events – medals will be awarded to the top three

finishers. Ribbons are fourth through sixteenth.

Relays – medals will be awarded to the first, second, and third

place relays.

Team trophies will be awarded to the top three teams.

Awards will be presented to the actual finish position of

swimmers.

Results: Will be posted in hallway. The scoreboard is unofficial time.

2008 South Jersey Swim League Summer Swimming Championships

Dear Swim Team Parents, Friends of the Swim Team and Business Owners:

On July 30, 2008, the Atlantic City Aquatic Club will host the South Jersey

Swim League Summer Championships, to be held at the Atlantic City High School

Sports Complex. Ten southern New Jersey teams with swimmers from the

tri-state area will be in attendance. Your ad will be seen in our Championship

Program Book, which lists all swimmers and their events. This book will be seen

by hundreds of people – parents, spectators, coaches, swimmers, etc. In addition,

by submitting an ad, you will be supporting your local team, as they will receive

proceeds of ad sales.
